It’s a common misunderstanding. That spring is a better planting time then fall. Some people don’t even know you should plant plants in the fall. When you plant in the fall, there’s much less stress on the plant in general because of the cooler temperatures, otherwise, the summer heat has a higher chance of killing it. Before next year’s summer, they have time to put in some roots, grow and reach for some water.
